Common Areas

Set on a large 60 hectare site above Lake Tagua Tagua and the Puelo River, Barraco Lodge provides the ideal platform to explore the entrance to North Patagonia, its hidden lakes, endless granite walls, totally virgin rivers and some of the most beautiful ancient forests of the planet.

Our concept is based on a Lodge with typical Patagonian architecture, created entirely with local materials, by local artisans.

The entire restoration of an old settler’s house from 1940 was carried out under the direction of one of the most important patrimonial architects in Chile, Edward Rojas, who defends a construction philosophy in harmony with the environment.

Barraco Lodge is the first Fly Fishing lodge in the Southern Hemisphere, and has a total of 7 rooms, maintaining the personalized style and spirit that are required to maintain the famous Patagonian warmth.

We have the appropriate equipment to explore by Land, Air and Water, all the territory that surrounds us, always in conditions of total safety, returning every day to enjoy the fire and our homemade food.

With a panoramic view of Lake Tagua Tagua, our Quincho is an ideal place to indulge in our Patagonian cuisine and its famous “asados al palo”

High above the lake, our sauna and hot tub deck is the perfect place to relax, sun bathe and enjoy the view.

The Lodge´s social spaces are warm and inviting, and include a library on the nature and history of Patagonia, a fire place, a music room, and WIFI.
